Life... It Is Just Too Short
Written By Remshot
Life............It is just too short. As I age, as I grow smarter, as I experience more - I realize how true those things are.

I learned something very sad and disturbing today.

A man I have worked with...Not "a man"...More like " a guy"...Oh, he was full grown. He had a wife. He had 3 kids. He was a good guy. He was younger than so many of us.

He was from Houston. He came to Denver so I could train him in operations. We spent time together and got to know each other.

He was a man. He was a guy. He was a friend.

He is dead today.

This bothers me very much.
Due to work and activities, I have been able to push this tragic fact to the back of my mind for most of the day and night. Alone now, I have time to reflect.

I wish I didn't.

I don't know where to post this. I don't know how many will read it or care. I guess I just need to say my piece.

My friend is dead. He died of kidney failure. It was not expected. It caught everyone unaware. As I said, he had a wife and 3 kids...3 kids....That brings tears to my eyes and chokes me up.

He didn't smoke, drink, or dip. He drank iced tea and loved his family....

We all were poisoning ourselves for years, yet here we are. Alive to read this.

We've all heard it many, many times. Life is too short.

We've been messing with karma for too long, yet still we are here and mostly fine...

Stop messing with karma. If you are reading this, you are hopefully quit. If you aren't quit - do it now.

My friends death has nothing to do with dipping, but it brings so many important things to the fore front...

Priorities...Sometimes it takes terrible things to make you see what they really are. You are the priority. Take care of yourself so your family and friends don't suffer.

I don't want to lose any more friends. So, so, many of you mean so much to me. I couldn't stand to lose you.
