Fed Up Hall of Fame Speech – Never Have To Do It Alone

KTC Logo Sepia NewThank you KTC… I know here that I never have to do it alone. Thank you Jonas for talking to me and giving support during the biopsy the 1st 45 days of my quit. Thank you Slug.go for holding me accountable at about 75 or 80 days when I took a break from roll call. I was really struggling with the craves then. It was a crazy time. I was reminded by a friend of mine that is in a 12th step group of the saying ” this too shall pass”. It did but it sucked. I got my head out of my ass and started posting again. Also, the game changer for me at that time period, was a ball game I was watching in April. ESPN showed a Facebook photo of Curt Schilling after he had completed radiation and it really freaked me out. I watched him pitch and got his autograph when he was pitching for the Phillies farm team and triple A. He was big dude and to see what radiation did to that guy really got to me.

I’m not much of a speech writer and I really prefer to be under the radar, honestly. I don’t know what else to say, but my message to the new guys and gals is this: you never have to do it alone and we are here to help thru what ever.

Thank you, KTC
