Fully Loaded Classic Review – Long Cut and Pouches

Fully Loaded Classic SquareBack this morning with another product review from our friends rom Fully Loaded Chew that I think the Copenhagen users are going to be thrilled with. Introducing Fully Loaded Classic Long Cut and Fully Loaded Classic Pouches!

But Chewie… didn’t you review Fully Loaded Classic back in 2018? I did… but these have been completely reformulated to more closely resemble Copenhagen and I’ve got to tell you… they nailed it.

Before I go any further I have to get a little housekeeping out of the way. Fully Loaded DOES indeed offer products with and without nicotine. That said, they do a REALLY good job of making sure you know what you’re purchasing so there’s no chance you’ll get the wrong one.

PLEASE NOTE: This review ONLY pertains to the NICOTINE FREE (Bullseye) version of these products.  I have not, and will not try the versions of this product that contain nicotine.

OK… with that out of the way… let’s get going.

Fully Loaded Classic 9

Good smell when opening the cans. Right out of the gate you know what you’re getting… COPENHAGEN. Now, I’ll preface this whole review by saying I never really was a Cope guy. I stuck primarily to Kodiak Wintergreen and Skoal Cherry but I did ‘dabble’ from time to time with Copenhagen. I’d LOVE to hear some feedback from true Cope users. Leave me a comment below. Both pouches and long cut were very moist and produce quite a bit of dark brown spit. The cans are plastic and have the ‘best used by’ date on the bottom which I always appreciate. Cans are clearly marked BULLSEYE – ZERO NICOTINE.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Classic Pouches

These are outstanding. DEEP dark color and outstanding smell very reminiscent of Copenhagen without the ‘Cope Shivers’ which is nice. Pouches are nice and moist and hold their flavor for quite some time (20 minutes at least before they start to lose steam. I always test with two pouches but there’s enough flavor in here that you could get away with one if you’re not looking for that feel of a fatty. TONS of dark brown saliva produced. I typically swallow when I’m using pouches but for some reason I can’t when it comes to ‘classic’ flavors. It still brings back memories of swallowing Cope / Skoal / Kodiak juice which I could never do. That said there’s nothing in the ingredients here (with the exception of the pouch itself) that you can’t swallow. This is a GREAT alternative for someone looking for a Cope alternative. As I said before, I wasn’t primarily a Cope guy and I’ll be returning to these. A while back I wrote an article called What Is The Best Alternative To Copenhagen? I’ll have to update that article shortly to add these. Strong recommend.

Classic Pouches Ingredients List (from the label): Tea Leaf, Kudzu Root, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Cayenne Pepper, Baking Soda, Salt, Bakers Ammonia.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Classic Long Cut

Same outstanding Cope smell upon opening the can. I was a little disappointed in the consistency here as it’s got sort of gooey hockey puck feel to it. I can only assume this is the molasses in here to hold things together. I’m not a chemist or product developer but I may suggest it’s a tad too much. That said, once you get this one in it’s got a tremendous flavor and the dip doesn’t ‘float’ around much at all which I appreciate. Once again, tons of dark brown saliva produced (more than the pouches even) and even a bit of ‘burn’ which is a nice touch. No real ‘packing’ necessary due to the consistency of the product in the can.

Classic Long Cut Ingredients List (from the label): Mint Leaf, Kudzu Root, Molasses, Water, Natural & Artificial Flavors & Colors, Vegetable Glycerin, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, Baking Soda & Baker’s Ammonia, Xylitol.

Fully Loaded Classic Pouches and Classic Long Cut Recommendation

As I’ve said in my previous Fully Loaded product reviews, the guys behind this company clearly know that they’re doing as evidenced by the outstanding products they’re putting out. I had the pleasure of visiting their facility recently and meeting the owners. They’re 100% committed to the mission of KTC – getting people off smokeless tobacco. I’ve often said that Copenhagen is a really difficult one to find an alternative for. I think both of these products should be added to that list. I preferred the pouches to the long cut simply because of the consistency of the long cut product but once it was in the flavor came through. As I’ve said I wasn’t primarily a Cope guy so I’d love to hear some feedback from some folks who were. Give these a try – would love to hear what you think!

Fully Loaded Chew is offering KTC members an exclusive promo code to be used when purchasing their products! When you check out, enter promo code “CHEWIE15” and receive 15% off your entire order!

I ordered this Fully Loaded product 5 can sampler +1 can discount because of the review saying its the most like Copenhagen. I started with the cherry, couldn’t get through it without a pick or chisel! I though maybe it was just the cherry so I went right to the classic because after 2 days without Cope I was hankering something fierce and NOPE!!!! A gad damn BRICK of a mess. Now I will say the flavors of both are fine but for christ sake, after 41+ years of Cope or Skoal do they not make anything similar to the consistence and flavor of Cope or is it all crap?! Honestly what a $27 waste. Today I went and got a regular can and will do more research in the mean time but this flavored asphalt is just not right.

started chewing fully loaded about a year ago. Recently I started getting an abnormal sore throat. I discovered that this was from the product fully loaded. I went to my Doctor and he informed me that one of the ingredients bakers ammonia was the cause of. I had been ordering about 10 cans every 3 weeks. After I went to the doctors and stopped chewing fully loaded, the pain went away. The only problem is I tried to return it and the person who I emailed did not give me a refund but sent me more chew

That’s strange you’ve never heard of people getting allergic reactions to carcinogenic chemicals? Have you ever heard of throat cancer, mouth cancer?

Hey James & Chewie –
Sean, co-founder of Fully Loaded Chew here. Couple things…

James – you can email directly at sean@fullyloadedchew.com and I’ll get you taken care of with the refund you need (if we havent taken care of you at this point).

Regarding your experience, I am very sorry to hear this and yes, absolutely listen to your doctor & your body.
The ingredient “bakers ammonia” (aka ammonium bicarbonate) has been used in food products / baking goods for hundreds of years. Per the FDA, it is a GRAS ingredient and continues to be used in many food products. All of our non-nicotine ingredients are GRAS ingredients for that matter.
Again, sorry for your experience and contact me with any add’l questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Sean
