Jake’s Mint Chew Raspberry Lime Rickey Pouches Review

Jake's Mint Chew Raspberry Lime Rickey SquareI hesitate to post this review this morning, not because of the content but because I’m reviewing a product that is not currently available (and I’m not sure it will be again). The folks at Jake’s Mint Chew sent me these back in July and I’m just now getting around to posting my review. I’m not sure why but I seem to have lost August and September to back to school activities, sports and work. For that, I sincerely apologize to Jake’s as well as our readers.

In any case, I’m into completionism and since I have these samples I’m going to review them. Today’s flavor is Jake’s Mint Chew Raspberry Lime Rickey.

I’m going to keep this one rather short today because A) this was a seasonal product that is no longer available and B) I didn’t like it.

I’ll point you to this paragraph from my previous Jake’s review as it’s still 100% valid:

Jake’s has been remarkably consistent with their products through the years and that’s a very good thing. All of their pouch products use the same pouch material and produce a good amount of saliva (even if the pouch itself isn’t super moist). It really boils down to personal preference if you like the specific flavor.

That last line is the important one here. I ‘personally’ didn’t care for this one. I’m not a fan of raspberry and I’m not a fan of lime, so it’s no wonder this wasn’t my cup of tea. To me it tasted like soap.

As I normally do, I tested using TWO pouches which seems about right in terms of flavor and longevity of the chew. For context I used to get about six dips out of a can of Kodiak.

Even though I didn’t like them, these were super moist and the flavor lasted quite a while – 15 or 20 minutes at least. As with all Jake’s product they come pack in a high quality plastic tin and won’t crush if you sit on it.
