Reflections On Quitting – My HOF Speech

Hall of Fame KTC 4It’s been one year today that I quit chew, dip, tobacco for good.

I got to the point where I didn’t want it in my life any more. As you read on this site – you’ve got to close the door.

Was it tough to quit – yes. Am I glad I did it – more than anyone will ever know.

The feeling of being free from addiction, from bondage to a substance is the greatest.

It’s a big lie that you can’t live without dipping. It’s all in your head. I dipped copenhagen for 20 years, so if I can quit anyone can do it.

I no longer worry about getting mouth cancer, living a lie and hiding cans from my family and friends, checking my teeth for dip flakes etc., etc. Plus, I’m not wasting nearly $2,000 a year to big tobacco.

Thank you to all the brothers on this site who helped me through. I couldn’t have done it without you and the resources on this site.
If I can do it you can do it too. Don’t give up!
