Forum Issues – 10.22.2026
tl;dr – the forums are down, and it’s on purpose. We don’t know when they will be back up right now.
Details – two critical vulnerabilities in PHP were announced yesterday. Both allowed remote code execution on an unpatched system. If you’re wondering what that means, it’s bad.
Unfortunately, the KTC Forum software runs on PHP; and yes, we’re vulnerable. We do not have a vendor patch available yet. We’ve taken the Forums offline while we investigate how to deal with this. Until we get a vendor patch, or figure out how we are going to deal with this issue, the Forums will continue to be unavailable.
