The Value of KTC – Not Just Nicotine

Together

I wasn’t really sure where to post this, but I wanted to share it somewhere so that everyone could see the value of KTC and its members (not that you all don’t already know).

Some of you know me, and some of you don’t. You may or may not know my current situation, but to keep it brief – my 16-year-old daughter is struggling with severe mental health issues along with drug and alcohol addiction. She’s heading to rehab today, and as her father, I’m absolutely heartbroken and terrified.

I’m also active in the alcohol group, since I chose to get sober before quitting nicotine. One of the members there reached out and asked if I had time for a call. Missouri Mike and I talked on the phone, and he truly helped pull me back from a very dark place. He walked me through how to handle things and how to support both myself and my daughter.

I’m sharing this because I want every member here to see the level of care, dedication, and commitment that exists in this community. The support here is incredible. You all are out here changing – and even saving – lives every single day, and I don’t think that gets said enough.

So thank you to everyone who reaches out, checks in, and looks out for others. I’m proud to be part of this community, and proud to be both nicotine-free and sober.
