Jake’s Mint Chew Pumpkin Spice Coffee Pouches Review

Jake's Pumpkin Spice Coffee SquareIt’s been a while but I’m back this morning with a review of new flavor from our friends at Jake’s Mint Chew. The last time I reviewed a new flavor from Jake’s it was back in July of 2022 when I looked at their clementine pouches (they were a strong recommend).

In any case, today I’m sampling and reviewing Jake’s Mint Chew Pumpkin Spic Coffee Pouches.

I have to preface this by saying I’m not a fan generally of cinnamon. When it comes to my dipping days was a guy that gravitated toward the traditional chew flavors (wintergreen, mint, etc.) as I was a Kodiak Wintergreen guy. I’m also not really a Pumpkin Spice fan. I’m not the guy that is excited by PSL coming to town every fall. That said, I know there are a SLEW of people that are so the timing for this one is perfect.

Jake’s continues to be remarkably consistent with their products. All of their pouch products use the same pouch material and produce a good amount of saliva even if the pouch itself isn’t super moist to begin with. They have a SLEW of flavors out there and whether you like them or not really boils down to personal preference if you like the specific flavor. I haven’t gone back and checked but I THINK it’s fair to say that they have the largest variety of flavors of any alternative manufacturer out there.

As I always do I tested using TWO pouches which seems about right in terms of flavor and longevity of the chew. For context I used to get about six dips out of a can of Kodiak. I’m happy to say I was a bit surprised here that I really enjoyed this Pumpkin Spice Coffee flavor. GREAT smell upon opening the can and the flavor wasn’t overwhelming with either pumpkin nor cinnamon. Both flavors are there for sure, and I have to say the longer I kept my pouch in the more the cinnamon flavor came out. The coffee flavor here was missing here or at least it was muted – not that that’s a bad thing.

All of Jake’s products provide enough saliva for a long lasting chew. I don’t spit when using these pouches but you certainly could. When you give these a ‘push’ you’ll get a nice little burst of flavor which will give you another 10 minutes or so out of the dip. I’d love to hear from someone who’s a big fan of pumpkin spice as a flavor. I have a feeling they’re going to love these. As for me, I’d give these a recommend. They’re the perfect pouch for fall.
