One Less Thing I Have To Worry About

Starbucks CoffeeI was sitting at my desk this afternoon and grabbed aimlessly for a cup of coffee that had been sitting there since earlier in the afternoon.  I took a sip, put it down and went back to the task at hand.  A realization came over me… I didn’t have to check to make sure it wasn’t a spitter.  Thought never crossed my mind.

  • I no longer have to open a bottle in the truck carefully and wait for the stench that accompanies a day old spitter.
  • I no longer have to carry two cups around a party and remember which one to spit in.
  • I no longer have to worry about sneezing and “peppering” my computer screen with Kodiak.
  • I no longer have to worry when I run out of the house quickly if I’ve got my safety can.

That’s cool.

  1. Yeah I remember the spitters~disgusting! I used to play on a dart team and we played at a different bar every week, the bartender’s at each bar KNEW that I chewed and immediately gave me a spit cup whenever I walked in the door! Last week I went to a going away party for a friend and when I got to the party the bartender gave me a spit cup and I told her I quit. It was so awesome to say I’m quit and not have to worry about having a disgusting spit cup anymore!

  2. That’s a relief. I remember thinking the same thing when I was cleaning out my car. I used to get a stench from the left over McDonald’s cups. I even had a couple that the bottoms rotted out of and filled up my cup holder with week old spit. MMM tasty.

Thanks to my quit and this site I never have to worry about that again.
