I dipped copenshit my entire teen and adult life. I knew no activity without it. However, I have learned over the past 100 days that there is life without dip.
I have prepared a little slideshow to commemorate my 100 days. I did it for me. But, my wife and kids like it as well. I hope you enjoy it, too.
Some things you need to know…..
I have yet to find anyone but myself who likes the song that accompanies this slideshow. I heard it about two weeks into my quit and it became my theme song. I call its style “Mellow Suck” because that’s how I felt most of the time. There are two phrases that have stuck with me. You’ll figure out what they are.
I prepared this to show all the good things that have happened the past 100 days because I believe I spent too much time focusing on the SUCK and the FUNK of quitting. My only advice for the new quitters is this….let the SUCKiness go quickly and enjoy the good things. There are far more good times than shitty times. You got so much to live for. Live it and enjoy it.
I also have borrowed some events from our quit. Mainly, the Wal-mart episode. (Mark, I hope you don’t mind) I’ve included it because it’s important to show that the simplest tasks or experiences become difficult and upsetting while trying to quit. Nobody knows what we’re going through…..except us.
My first 100 days has been possible because of everyone on this website. I could not have done it without you and I’m convinced I cannot remain quit without you.
To the July 07 Amigos for adopting me and to the veterans who keep this site a wonderful place to visit everyday….Thank you.
To my June 08 brothers….THANK YOU. I’m a QWA for the rest of my life, but taking it one day at a time.
