Ten Years Quit – My Deepest Thanks to KTC

Ten years ago today, I posted my first roll call. I had dipped for over 40 years, and I had convinced myself that I couldn’t live without it — especially in high-pressure jobs where I had to look like I had it all together.
But I was hiding. Even as a VP, I had snuff tucked away, always justifying “one more” because I didn’t think I could stop.
KillTheCan.org changed everything. I found people here who got it — who understood what quitting really felt like. The daily roll call, the accountability, the brotherhood… it saved my life.
I couldn’t go a couple of hours without a dip back then. Now, 3,650+ days later, I can’t believe how far we’ve come.
Thank you, KTC. And thank you to everyone who shows up daily and helps make this place what it is.
We quit together. One day at a time.
