Gamers and Quitters – Open World Addiction Recovery
An amazing conversation on our Discord server that I wanted to pass along…

Open World Quitting – Bonus Content Included
Trithious (Jun 25)
For those of you whom are avid gamers! Think of Kill The Can like you would a very challenging high skill cap game.
Much like an open world sandbox MMORPG we are all spawned in different locations throughout the map and when our character was created we got randomized attribute points assigned to us. We have control as main characters within this world to grind EXP to unlock new skills and put our attribute points into our skill tree. So, as we level up within this world we can decide what our build is and fine tune that to be able to explore the world. However, most people myself included have not ventured far from the starter zone. Unlike most people I have not been spawned into more PVP zones, which is good, because I prefer the more explorative narrative that this game has to offer with PVE content available to enjoy.
So let me ask you this? Why would any of us as the main character of this MMORPG want to intentionally sack health points, by walking around being poisoned everyday? That’s something an NPC would do. Following trends that’s NPC energy not main character energy. NPC’s just muddle through life with no desire to change, because they’re playing their part in this interactive narrative of your story. This is what life was like before finding the DLC content called Kill The Can.
Kill The Can is bonus content that includes new skins, new attribute points, new skills, and new territories to explore. Kill The Can’s DLC pack on life features a large server dedicated for PVE content allowing for a multitude of real players like you cooperating in a massive PVE experience on defeating a secret dungeon world boss known as Nicotine. In this DLC players will experience hardships as they are faced with challenges never before explored before this DLC was installed on whether they were just an NPC in some other players game or the Main Character? The skill cap is hard, but the content this DLC offers is 10/10 by IGN.
So continue grinding out that Free EXP, continue grinding your stats, continue refining your build to deal high DPS against Nicotine. Don’t worry any class, healer, AOE DOT dealer, Direct DPS dealer, or our lovely Tanks can all defeat Nicotine by cooperating in massive PVE battles against this brutal dungeon boss. High replay ability, never gets boring or old.

The author compares KTC to an MMORPG where people are “spawned” with different traits and can level up, explore, and shape their own character builds. Most people never leave the “starter zone” or follow predictable paths (likened to NPCs—non-player characters—who just go through the motions). “Kill The Can” is portrayed as a game-changing DLC (downloadable content) that unlocks new possibilities, skills, and a major PVE (player vs. environment) challenge: quitting nicotine.
The fight against nicotine is described as a hard but rewarding boss battle that requires effort, cooperation, and persistence—regardless of your class or play style. The overall message: take control of your story, stop living like an NPC, and rise to the challenge of overcoming addiction.

A more condensed explanation of your explanation:
Life is compared to an MMORPG where most live like NPCs, stuck in routine. “Kill The Can” is the DLC that unlocks growth and the ultimate challenge: quitting nicotine. The message—take control, fight hard, and rewrite your story.

Even more condensed
Life’s an MMORPG where most live like NPCs. Kill The Can is the DLC that unlocks the toughest quest: quitting nicotine. Take control, fight hard, rewrite your story.
Pretty soon were gonna have the diamond if we keep condensing.
