Fully Loaded Chew Bullseye Pouch Review

Fully Loaded Pouches 1Back in 2018 I reviewed the product offerings from the folks at Fully Loaded Chew which was developed right down the road from me in Akron, Ohio by former dippers. Their goal? “A tobacco-free chew that doesn’t suck”. They are one of the (growing) number of alternative manufacturers that offer versions of their product with and without nicotine. Naturally I only review the varieties WITHOUT nicotine.

I’m THRILLED to say that they’ve taken their nic free offerings to another level and developed a website dedicated to their nicotine free versions: flcbullseye.com. BRAVO!!! Today’s review will cover their POUCH offerings: Wintergreen, Mint, Straight and Classic.

PLEASE NOTE: This review ONLY pertains to the NICOTINE FREE (Bullseye) version of these products.  I have not, and will not try the versions of this product that contain nicotine.

Great smells when opening the cans. All four flavors I tried are very moist and produce quite a bit of dark brown spit. The cans are plastic and have the ‘best used by’ date on the bottom which I really appreciate. Cans are clearly marked BULLSEYE – ZERO NICOTINE as well which is key. I didn’t count the number of pouches in each tin but they’re all .92 oz or 26 grams.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Wintergreen Pouches

I started this review session with my old friend Wintergreen. Nearly two decades as a Kodiak Wintergreen chewer has left a lasting impression on me when it comes to Wintergreen flavors. This is really, really nice. Big bold smell when popping open the can and bold flavor to match. Pouches produce a ton of super dark saliva though you don’t need to spit with these products if you don’t want to. I’m having a hard time picking a brand to compare it to. Not quite Kodiak but not quite Skoal. All in all this is a great sub for Wintergreen fans out there. Highly recommend.

Wintergreen Ingredients List (from the label): Mint Leaf, Kudzu Root, Water, Natural & Artificial Flavors & Colors, Vegetable Glycerin, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, Baking Soda & Baker’s Ammonia.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Mint Pouches

I went back and read my previous review of Fully Loaded products before doing this review. One thing I noticed is that, at the time, I didn’t think the Mint flavor was all that different from the Wintergreen. That’s part of the reason I went with Mint next. I’m happy to say there’s a nice distinction now between the two flavors. Wintergreen tastes like Wintergreen and Mint tastes like Mint. That may sound like a small and rather obvious point but you’d be surprised how often it’s not the case. Anyhow, I doubt its because of my original review but I think it’s fair to say that Fully Loaded has tweaked their Mint flavor profile and it’s great. The flavor here is one of those really strong mints… Altoids come to mind. It leaves me with a strong ‘fresh’ feeling. Great choices here for Mint fans.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Straight Pouches

If I’m being honest I’ve never been a fan of the Straight flavor. I could never quite understand what this flavor was going for. It’s not ‘regular’ tobacco flavor in my mind as there’s still ‘flavoring’ added to it and they just always sort of tasted like old shoe leather. I’m happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Still not one of my favorites but I wasn’t repulsed by it at all and actually found myself enjoying it and I wasn’t rushing to take it out.

Straight Ingredients List (from the label): Mint Leaf, Kudzu Root, Water, Natural & Artificial Flavors & Colors, Vegetable Glycerin, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, Baking Soda & Baker’s Ammonia, Xylitol.

Fully Loaded Bullseye (Zero Nicotine) Classic Pouches

Now this is interesting… If I had to choose the number one question I get about alternative it’s, “What’s a good substitute for Copenhagen?” I never have a great answer for a couple of reasons. First, Cope has a super unique taste that really hasn’t been replicated all that faithfully in my opinion. Secondly I was never a Cope guy so I’m probably not the best guy to ask anyhow. And while that still may be true, this might be my go to Cope Pouch suggestion. These are really good. Not too sweet, not too cringe inducing. This hits the sweet spot for a non-flavored pouch in my book. I’d love to hear from a long term Cope user to see if this hits the mark for them as well. All in all this is a great substitute.

Fully Loaded Bullseye Pouches Recommendation

I was really pleased with the Fully Loaded Bullseye Pouches that I tried. The guys behind this company clearly know that they’re doing as evidenced by the outstanding products they’re putting out. Their flavor profiles, even the ones I don’t personally care for, are really nice. Wintergreen, Mint, Straight and Classic are what I’d consider the “traditional” dip flavors and they’ve done them all justice. These are all moist pouches that produce a ton of dark brown saliva. I also love the fact that they’ve spun up a new website specifically for their nicotine free varieties. They also continue to do an outstanding job with their labeling. Give these a try – would love to hear what you think!

I purchased two sample rolls, but was immediately apparent it wasn’t for me. The taste is short-lived, long cut was more like snuff, makes a HUGE STICKY mess taking out of can, and I could literally go on and on.

Upon immediately reaching out to the company via designated form to exercise the 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, haven’t received a response, despite now submitting an additional form.

Long story short: GROSS product and ZERO integrity/honesty with at least standing behind their products and clear as day warranty (2 weeks+ with no response to refund despite multiple attempts)!!
