Profit Margins On Tobacco Products

If you’ve ever tried to do research on Big Tobacco you’ll learn rather quickly that finding reliable and recent information is pretty difficult. This particular chart is pretty old (2013) but I ran across it today and wanted to share it. This chart from Morgan Stanley shows which packaged consumer goods enjoy the highest operating margins. What’s at the top of the list? Smokeless tobacco (61%) and cigarettes (41%).
