Ode To Day 98 – What’s Different This Time?
I woke up this morning with one thing on my mind:
Simply, I’ve never stayed quit for such a long time.
Sure I’ve done it before, many times in the past,
No more than 3 days, my quit wouldn’t last.
I tried to think, Why is this unlike before?”
What’s keeping me away from the old nic whore?
I went cold turkey, just like I did now.
But this quit is different, someway, some how.
But I know what’s different, and it’s not just me,
I found KTC, the site helps me stay free.
I’m on day 98 and I’m feeling real good.
My quit has stayed strong, exactly like it should.
During this quit, I’m not just marking time,
I’ve fought for each day, and tomorrow’s NINETY-NINE!!!
PS: Today’s photo is the cover of a 1998 edition of TIME Magazine that was looking at guns in America. A rather topical issue in 2015 as well…
